Indoor Air Quality IAQ is very important to all of us. Air filters are installed in air cleaners to remove dust, pollen, odors and spores while your furnace is running. The air is cleaned as it passes through the filter before entering the furnace. This is true for both Winter as well as Summer.

Your home is fitted with a Furnace connected to a network of input and output ducting vents throught your home. This is necessary to provide heat in the Winter and Cool air in the Summer if an air conditioner.

In the Winter, the furnace heats up a very hot heating element. The furnace has a very strong air blower, which sucks air through the intake vents, across the hot heated element. This warm air is now pushed through the duckwork to the output vents located in the rooms. This provides the necessary heat for a warm home, keeping you nice and comfortable.

In the Summer your requirements is the opposite. You now require cold air. The heater is now turned off and the cold air is provided by the Air Conditioner. This unit has a compressor unit installed outside the house and a cooling "A" coil, installed above the heater (off) in the furnace. The compressor cools the "A" coil. This blower motor in the furnace is now required to blow air across this cold "A" coil, before circulating it through the ductwork to all your rooms.

The air filter is placed at the entrance of the input ductwork to the furnace, cleaning the air before it enters the furnace. This means enhanced filtration and cleaner air for the furnace, your lungs, family, floors and furniture.     This is especially important for allergy sufferers.
